Let's talk equipment

So today I will talk about my gear and my setup. I find this a big boost of motivation to just have a nice and clean setup. Let's first start with my daily workhorse. I take my laptop everywhere and it is the Apple Macbook air 2023 m2 with 24gb of ram. It is the first time I got a macbook and I didn't want to spend the money on a macbook pro yet. I need to say I'm pretty happy about it and I don't have any complains. The battery life is also amazing and the power of the m2 chip is more then enough for my daily tasks. But I don't only use my laptop I also own 2 desktop machines. One is my dedicated gaming rig that features an ryzen 9 7900x and a 3090. This is enough for all my gaming needs. I don't really use it for programming but sometimes for some 3d modeling or game development. The other desktop is a bit more as a office machine. It still has a i7 and a rtx 2070. This my little brothers mostly use for some light gaming or for their game development.

But with all these different machines I also need to have a way to easily transfer my files. Let's welcome the synology DS923+ nas. This is really one of my favorite parts of my whole setup. Just the ability to store everything I want on a big enviroment that I can access from anywhere is nice. I don't always use my nas and for those situations I also own a samsung t7 shield. This small ssd is so easily to carry around and the speeds are more then plenty. I really love this thing and I carry it everywhere. That is mostly it for storage solutions. Now let's talk a bit about my favorite thing to do when I'm bored and that's keyboards. At the moment I am using the feker alice 80 in a custom build. I also own a tiny20 keyboard, keychron q10 pro and a steelseries apex 7. For my mouse I used the g502 lightspeed a lot in the past but now I found my new favorite mouse. It's kinda basic and nothing special but it is the logitech MX master 3.

For audio I mostly use my audio technica m50x headphones or just my airpods. Then I have a few docks for my laptop but that is nothing intresting. The last two things I want to talk about are my 3d printer a creality ender 3v2 and my monitor light. The 3d printer I mostly use for my small engineering projects that I love to do. It is really easy to just get a small design out and prototype with it. Then My screenbar. Mine is from BenQ but regardless of the brand this for me is my favorite part of my setup. It makes it so I can just get a much cleaner setup and that I don't need to work with a standing light on my desk. I really love it and I can't recommend it enough. That is a small talk through my setup and the equipment I use. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this blog and I will see you guys in the next one.
