Lets start the new year

First of all I want to wish everybody a lot of luck in the new year. Let's all make 2024 amazing and let's all achieve our goals. So let's start with the past year. A year full of suprises and a lot of new things. For me the first goal of this year was to graduate from high school and finish of my graduation project Boardio. I'm happy to say that I achieved both of those goals. Boardio turned out decent enough to pass the year and graduate. But I'm not only going to talk about the good things this year because while focussing on boardio I also started to know that I really didn't know what I wanted to do in life. First I wanted to always do a job that was in the film industry but thankfully I had a friend in high school that made me rethink my choices and really believed in me and that I could be good at programming. He really helped me get started with my first little twitter clone and then I went on my own journey. For boardio I wanted to challenge myself and went for Next.js and ditched Sveltekit. So that said after high school I wanted to rest a bit. Maybe even go on a small vacation but that was not in it for me. I had my plans on something else. I didn't want to become a movie maker anymore but a programmer. A few years ago I already was working with arduino's and logic controllers and I really liked it but websites and software just pushed my interests. So I signed up for the campus 19 piscine and I was excited to start it. In the month that the piscine took I really gave it my all because I knew this was what I wanted to do. It was stressfull but it is still one of those periods in my life where I am proud of and where I learned a lot. Luckily I passed and could start the common core in October.

The first few projects I could finish pretty fast but the last 2 months I have really been struggling. It's not really because of the projects but more just personal life. I really needed to take some breaks from working on the common core to fix my life a bit and just meet some new people around me. That's really something that I always underestimated. How important the people around you are. I am really happy I did this because the last few days I could really enjoy life a lot more again. My parents got married and life is just pretty good.

Then what do I want to achieve in 2024. That is an easy question I want to get a job and really start life. I also want to continue learning new stuff and just making awesome projects. I was even thinking about starting a small youtube channel to just show of some of my projects and even do some coding streams but that is something for in the future. As long as my friends and family stay healthy then anything really is okay for me so let's hope that stays that way.
